The Museum of Antigua and Barbuda is located in the former colonial courthouse on St. Mary's Street in St. John's. Its exhibits cover the island's geological formation, the indigenous Arawak and Carib peoples, colonial history, and the sugar industry. Artifacts include pre-Columbian pottery, colonial-era furniture, and a replica of an Arawak canoe. The museum provides an excellent introduction to the nation's heritage.
