Highland House is the ruined shell of an 18th-century plantation great house, set atop the Barbuda Highlands. Though only stone walls remain, the site commands sweeping views across the island's scrubland, coastline, and the distant Atlantic. Visitors can wander among the ruins, imagining the lives of the planter family and enslaved workers who once lived here. The elevated position makes it a prime spot for photography, especially at sunrise or sunset when the light softens over the landscape.
