One of the best restaurant for traditional food in Angola. We had 4 different types of funge: chicken meat, dried beef meat, fish and beef meat with bones, with different sauces with palm oil and peanuts. We ordered 2 types of funge as well. All the dishes were delicious. The portions are really big. The prices are affordable. We paid around 60$ for 4 dishes, a lot of beer, water and coffee. The coffee with cinnamon was a must! As a world traveler who visited 159 countries, I highly recommend this location for the best culinary immersion.
4.1/5 if you want above average traditional angolan food, come here. I had the calulu do carne (13.000 kw) with funge and feijoada (3.000 kw). The dish were tasty but I don't think it was super fresh what they served me. But it was definitely authentic food and pretty good. There are definitely better restaurants which focus on quality but if you want something that's kinda affordable and good enough, come here. Would recommend!
Went to Funge House with my wife on March 23rd. 2019. We were recommended by an aunt that told us the place was nice and the prices were affordable. The guy that was serving us was very polite and friendly and assisted us straight away. We had some honest freshly made Angolan food that was amazing. Noticed some other customers there and even thought it was a saturday afternoon there were always people coming to have a meal there. We paid around $30for food for two, a couple of beers and a natural juice. I declined to eat desert because I had no space left inside me. Definitely recommend it for someone who wants to eat good food for a good price. NOTE: The menu is entirely in Portuguese and I doubt it that they speak good English there. Sorry I didn’t take any pictures. They have free WIFI.
