Food was great and tge beer was too. Well worth a visit.
Last year we ate here and the food was gorgeous and the staff lovely. This year we were so disappointed. Although I called in earlier to book we were told don't worry about booking for early evening, only if we wanted to eat at 9pm. So we turn up early to be told how we had to be gone by 9pm by a not so friendly girl. After that we just felt like we were rushed the whole time. Our main course was very nice but the desserts weren't great. I knew what I wanted for dessert but the waitress wouldn't get a menu for the kids she practically told them they were have the nutella pancakes. My dessert came, the Catalan cream, and it was cold and rubbery, 2 mins later one pancake came out, then another 12 minutes after that came the last pancake. They were clearly starting to get busy and the staff spent a lot of time re arranging tables, but there was no care taken of those who were already eating. Last year we raved about this place but sadly, when we go back to Pas in December, we will most certainly be giving this place a miss. .
We were encouraged into this restaurant by a very enthusiastic guy on the door and as it was getting quite late we decided to give it a try. From the minute we entered the restaurant we were made to feel very unwelcome and as if we were an inconvenience. There were 5 of us and apart from one large table which was set for 8 there were only small tables available. When we asked if we could sit at the large table we were told no as there were not enough of us and were then squeezed onto a small table where we could barely move and ended up with one of us having to sit on the end and having to move every time someone needed to pass. Needless to say the larger table remained unoccupied for the rest of the evening! The restaurant serves a range of pasta dishes with various sauces but all with tagliatelle so it was disappointing to be told that they had run out of tagliatelle! This effectively ruled out about one third of the menu as there were also several other items which were not available. The service was OK but very slow as our waiter was unable to answer any of our questions and had to keep going into the kitchen to check if certain dishes were available All in all this was not the best experience and there was a 'can't be bothered' feel about the place. There are far better restaurants in Pas so we won't be going back to this one.
