Sant Joan de Caselles is a beautifully preserved Romanesque church nestled in the mountains near Canillo. Its interior boasts remarkable 12th-century frescoes, including a vivid depiction of Christ in Majesty surrounded by apostles. The church's stone architecture, with a square bell tower and simple apse, exemplifies the Romanesque style. Visitors can also see a wooden altarpiece and a 16th-century polychrome statue of Saint John. The surrounding landscape adds to the sense of stepping back in time.
