The Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley is a remote glacial valley in the Pyrenees, designated a UNESCO World Heritage site for its cultural landscape. Covering over 4,200 hectares, it features rugged peaks, crystal-clear streams, and ancient shepherding huts known as 'corts.' Hikers can traverse well-marked trails that pass through lush meadows and past stone terraces, experiencing a landscape shaped by centuries of transhumance. The valley is a haven for wildlife like chamois and golden eagles.
