Lake Engolasters is a picturesque glacial lake set in a forested basin above Encamp, offering a peaceful escape into nature. A well-maintained trail circles the lake (about 2 km), making for an easy, family-friendly hike with benches and viewpoints along the way. The clear, dark waters reflect the surrounding pines and mountains, and the area is popular for picnics, photography, and simply soaking in the alpine scenery. In summer, the lake is a cool retreat; in autumn, the foliage adds vibrant color.
