Pogradec Castle, originally an Illyrian fortress, crowns a hill overlooking the town and Lake Ohrid. Though mostly in ruins, the site offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the lake, the mountains of both Albania and North Macedonia, and the town below. Visitors can explore the remaining stone walls and imagine the strategic importance of this ancient stronghold. It's a short but steep climb from the town center, rewarding with a perfect photo opportunity at sunset.
