Lake Bovilla is a man-made reservoir nestled in the mountains about 20 kilometers from Krujë, created by damming the Erzen River. Its deep blue waters contrast sharply with the surrounding rugged limestone peaks, making it a picturesque destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can hike along trails that offer stunning lake views, enjoy a peaceful picnic on the grassy shores, or capture the dramatic landscape with a camera. The area is also popular for birdwatching and fishing, though swimming is not recommended due to the reservoir's use as a water source.
Don't miss
- Hike the trail to the Bovilla Canyon viewpoint for a dramatic perspective of the lake and cliffs.
- Picnic at designated spots along the shore with views of the turquoise water and surrounding peaks.
- Photograph the lake at golden hour when the mountains reflect perfectly in the still water.
