The Abdul Rahman Mosque, also called the Grand Mosque of Kabul, dominates the city's skyline with its brilliant turquoise dome and four slender minarets. Completed in 2009, it can accommodate up to 10,000 worshippers. The interior features intricate tilework, chandeliers, and a vast prayer hall. Non-Muslim visitors are welcome outside prayer times, offering a chance to appreciate modern Islamic architecture and the mosque's role as a community hub. Its location near the presidential palace adds to its prominence.
