Hadda, located just south of Jalalabad, was a major Buddhist pilgrimage center from the 1st to 7th centuries CE. It once housed over 1,000 stupas and monasteries, making it one of the largest Buddhist complexes in the region. Today, visitors can explore the scattered remains of these structures, including the famous Tapa Shotor and Tapa Kafariha sites. The area is rich in Gandharan art, with many sculptures and relics discovered here. Hadda offers a profound connection to Afghanistan's diverse religious history.
